AngelaとGamoraはThanosの軍勢によって占領された惑星で共に戦っていた。最初の出会いは最悪であった二人だったが、互いに友情を感じるようになっていた。
Angelaは敵の戦艦に一人で乗り込み、敵兵たちを倒していく。そして最後に残った司令官に、宇宙船を着陸させて囚人となった人々を彼らの星に帰すのを手伝うように命令する。Angelaのことを地球人と勘違いした司令官は意味ありげなことを口走ってしまう。だが司令官はAngelaが地球人ではないことを知ると間違いを訂正するが、Angelaは天使たちのことで何か知っているのかと更に問い詰める。
やがて現れたPeterにAngelaはこの地に残ると告げる。PeterにもAngelaが思い違いをしていることが分かっていた。 「俺たちは君が自分の故郷へ戻れる方法を探していくつもりだ。たがここには答えはないんだ。君は今日、とても良いことをした。多くの人々を救ったんだ。」
そう、Peterが告げるとAngelaは「でも、私たちはThanosを見つけることは出来なかったよ。」と答えた。
「He is…on Earth.」 司令官が息も絶え絶えに呟いた。
「ほら、この馬鹿どもは何も知りやしないんだ。」 PeterはAngelaを諭した。
囚人となっていた人々を救ったPeter達は地球へと向かって出発した。
物語としては、Thanosの軍勢が地球に進攻してくるが、ガーディアンズ達の活躍で地球が救われたところで一旦、終了となります。
続く物語は、Crossover「THE TRIAL OF JEAN GREY」シリーズになります。
Jean GreyはX-Menのメンバーであり、Marvel Girlとして有名です。宇宙ステーションにてX-MENのメンバーと一緒に戦いを続けているなかで放射線中毒で一度は死亡したジーンでしたが、Phoenix Forceとして知られている宇宙生命体によって救われます。ただしMastermindの精神操作によってPhoenixは狂気に至り、Dark Phoenixとして変貌しました。閉じ込められたジーンの意識の一部が蘇った際に、彼女を死を選びます。そういったジーンに対して、さまざまな立場の者たちが彼女をどうするかを考える。そういった内容のシリーズになります。AngelaはGuardian of the Galaxyのメンバーの一人としてこの物語に関わっていきます。
