With the HellSpawn gone, the people of Rhyll are defenseless and have fallen under attack from a Viking horde, the deadliest fighters to walk the Earth or sail the seas. Not even Rhyll’s hell-born savior can come to the town’s aid now. Meanwhile, the HellSpawn has wandered to the City of Thieves, where a single wrong step often means death. Unfortunately, the HellSpawn decapitates the city’s tyrannical, self-proclaimed king. Wrong step indeed.
SPAWN DARK AGES 18 SUMMARY
The remaining residents of Rhyll are not pleased to see the man they think murdered most of their families. They prepare to crucity the Hellspawn, when suddenly another victim of the Beast of the Wood is found. This victim has been killed while Covenant was held captive. The people of Rhyll agree it was not the Hellspawn who killed their families. At the same time, Gareth meets with Makus, an Inceni, who shows him the place that has been prepared for strong the Necroplasm. Back in Rhyll, little Alex gives Covenant his freedom, leaving the people of Rhyll to battle the Beast by themselves. Spawn searches for Cogliostro to get answers, but Cogliostro has no use for a mortal, and washes his hands of the Hellspawn.

HellSpawn:コヴナント卿が去った後、Rhyllの人々は無防備になり、地上を歩いたり海を航海したりする最悪の戦闘軍団であるバイキングの大群の攻撃を受けた。Rhyllの地獄生まれの救世主、コヴナント卿は別の地にいて、町を助けることはできない。コヴナント卿は森の中で一人の男に出会い、彼の小屋に招待される。親切にしてくれた男:Peterはコヴナント卿に、自分の話をする。Peterが住んでいた街は王を名乗る男:Brakertの蛮行によって荒れていた。だが、彼はそこでKaliという女性と出会い、結婚をした。だが、今は生き別れてしまっているのだと言う。コヴナント卿は一夜の宿を与えてくれたPeterへの恩返しとして彼が町に残してきた妻:Kaliを救い出すことを誓う。
HellSpawn:コヴナント卿はPeterが以前に住んでいた街に訪れる。そこは盗賊たちが蔓延り、一歩間違えば死に至ることもある状況にあった。HellSpawn:コヴナント卿はすぐにBrakertを見つけ出し、その男の首をはねる。だが、それは間違った判断だった。コヴナント卿はその後に街の人々にKaliの所在を訪ねるが、人々はBrakertを殺した男のことを糾弾し、彼の身柄を拘束する。
