SUMMARY :
After murdering the ruler of the City of Thieves, the HellSpawn Covenant is thrown into a dark prison where something strange is happening in the shadows. He is trapped, alone and the scent of slaughter is thick in the air. Meanwhile, in the northern woods of Britain, Gareth, the Druid priest has fallen under mysterious attack. Something was waiting in the woods; something that wanted Gareth’s stolen necroplasm for itself.

SPAWN DARK AGES SUMMARY
As Spawn wanders the countryside, a new threat appears. Viking murders have arrived, and they are drawn like files to the unprotected town of Rhyll. Covenant, who is seeking basic human comforts for the first time since his death, befriends a former who tells the tale of his wife’s disappearance at the hands of Brakert. Covenant rides off to kill Brakert and free the farmer’s wife, but forgets that he no longer has the powers of a Hellspawn. When it’s revealed he’s killed Brakert, Covenant is soon overwhelmed by a violent crowd, and they prepare to throw him in the pit.

盗賊が蔓延る街の支配者Brakertを殺害した後、HellSpawn:コヴナント卿が暗い監獄に放り込まれるなかで、その陰で奇妙なことが起こっていた。彼は一人で閉じ込められ、虐殺の香りが漂っていた。一方、ブリテン北部の森では、ドルイドと呼ばれる司祭であるGrethが謎の男が訪れる。
Brakertが亡き後、Marcellusという名の男が現れた。BrakertはMarcellusを愛していたし、Marcellusも彼を愛していた。彼は早速、ハンセン病患者が閉じ込められている牢獄に、一緒に捕らえられているコヴナント卿を視察に来た。MarcellusはBrakertが救い出した少年たちの一人だった。彼はコヴナント卿に自分の運命と、Brakertが何を求めていたのか、そのことを見出せないかと問い詰める。コヴナント卿はかつて、コグリオストロから与えられた教訓を思い出し、囚われの身から逃れる術を得る。
