Peter Quill’s estranges father, the king of Spartax, decreed that no alien hand may touch the planet Earth. The Guardians promptly disobeyed and have been fugitives ever since.

But after months of evading the Spartax while making enemies of every other empire in the galaxy, the team has been ripped apart and each member individually captured by one of their enemies.

Captured by his father, Peter decied he would rather not experience the justice system of Spartax. So he leapt out of the window of the royal palace and right into the arms of Captain Marvel! With his new ally by his side, Peter returned to face down J-Son, accusing himof abusing and oppressing his people. J-Son defenced his brutal appoach to ruling his empire, forgetting that he was being broadcast scross the galaxy. With his despotic tendencies revealed to his subjects, it may only be a matter of time before J-Son has a coup détat on his hands.

Peter Quillとは生き別れとなっていた父、Spartaxの王は、エイリアンの手が地球に触れてはならないと布告した。Guardiansはこの布告に即座には従わず、それ以来、逃亡を続けていた。

しかし、銀河の他の全ての帝国の敵を作りながらSpartaxの追撃を回避した数か月後、Guardiansのチームは引き裂かれ、各メンバーは敵の1人に個別に捕らえられた。

父親であるSpartaxに捕らえられたPeterは、Spartaxの司法制度に裁かれたくないと決心した。それで彼は王宮の窓から飛び出し、Captain Marvelの腕の中に飛び込んだ。Peterは新たな同盟国と共に戻ってきて、J-Sonを裏切り、彼が人々を虐待し、抑圧していると非難した。 J-Sonは自分の帝国を支配するための残忍な手法を擁護し、自分が銀河系全体に放送されていたことを忘れていました。彼の専制的な傾向が彼の主題に明らかになったので、J-Sonにクーデターが起こされるのは時間の問題かもしれない。
