IMAGE COMICS Crossover Series
Altered Image is a fun idea that just doesn’t seem to work out as well as it should. The three-issue mini-series begins when Maxx wakes up and finds that reality has changed around him. In rapid order, he rounds up Majestic, Spawn, the Savage Dragon, ShadowHawk, and Witchblade to join with him in a quest to find out what the heck’s going on. Faster than you can yell “Amalgam Universe,” they are blipped through another dimensional portal where the characters become combined versions of one another (along with other Image characters).
Although Jim Valentino writes and draws the series, he doesn’t really hit on the idiosyncrasies of each of the characters, and as a result misses out on a great deal of the comic potential this situation gives.

we see Medieval Spawn, Witchblade & The Maxx go through many versions of existence
SPAWN
Government assassin, Al Simmons, murdered by the very people he worked for made a pact with the powerful demon, Malebolgia. He would be allowed to return to life, to the woman he loved. But, the devil tricked him, placing him five years in the future after his beloved Wanda had remarried his best friend. Tormented, The Spawn was a being of ultimate, yet finite, power whose next death would be his last.
