Spawn is attacked by a pair calling themselves Grifter and Zealot, but the couple leave in the dark. Spawn then tracks them down, learning that there is a Zealot and Grifter in the WildC.A.T.S.; Tracking them down to their headquarters, Spawn attacks the team but soon realizes that the Zealot and Grifter on the team weren’t the ones who attacked him in the alley; Before too long, the ones that attacked Spawn appear and reveal that they are from the future, with Grifter being the same but accompanied with a new Zealot; They explain that in the future, Spawn will take over the world after finding a talisman.

宇宙の彼方ではChiming Fire、Ladycube、Aiwass、Lord Horseといった神とも言えぬ者たちが存在した。彼らの一人がAmuletを闇のなかへと投じる。彼らにとってはそれは永遠を越えた、果てしない午後の余興に過ぎない仕業であったが、現実の世界はそれによって大きく歯車が狂い、SPAWNが征する世界を生み出していたのだ。
WILD CATSのメンバー達が集うビルの一室で、Prisだけは彼らの仕業を予兆として感じていたが、それがなんであるかは分からなかった。まずは彼らの敵であるダーモナイト(Daemonites)によるものではないようだった。一同が安堵したその時に事件が起こった。 Al:Spawnが窓を破って飛び込んできたのだ。「GrifterとZealotはどこだ!」Zealotを見つけたAl:Spawnは彼女の首元へと手を伸ばし、締め付けようとした。だが、何か違う。 「Zealorは黒人で、Grifterの髪の毛は白髪まじりのグレーではなかったか?」Al:Spawnは一同にそう問いかけたが、Zealotは白人で、Grifterの髪の毛は金髪だった。 その二人が自分のエリアに侵入してきたのだとAl:Spawnが言うが俄かに信じられず、皆が「Al:Spawnが嘘をついているのでは?」と思い始めていた。だが、そこにAl:Spawnが言う人相の二人組が現れた。 彼らは未来からきたGrifterとZealotだという。彼らの話では1996年9月のある朝、地球上に魔界が現れ、魔物たちが襲いかかってきたという。Savage Dragonを始め、多くのヒーロー達が命を落とした。 その中でGrifterとZealotは全ての元凶であるAl:Spawnを暗殺しに未来から来たのだ。すると彼らの元に次元の渦が現れ、全員を飲み込んでいった。事態が収束すると彼らは周囲を見渡すが、そこには見覚えのない光景が広がっていた。 そう、そこが未来から来た二人がいう魔界が広がったニューヨークだったのだ。

Spawn and the WildC.A.T.s travel to the future where a future version of Spawn, named the Ipsissimus, has ruled the world and made it demonic; After a scuffle with two of the Phlebiac Brothers, Vindicator and Vaporizer, the heroes meet the future Ben Santini; He’s part of the opposition against the Ipsissimus and has started a new team of Black Razors, even though they are young kids; He leads them to the future WildC.A.T.S and they make a plan of action; Before too long, Troika attacks; The three members were fused together by the Ipsissimus on a whim; Void teleports them out of there and they make the journey to the inevitable battle.

Al:SpawnとWILD CATSのメンバーが訪れたのは2015年のニューヨークだった。ビルにはSPAWNの紋章が描かれた旗が立てられ、風になびいていた。早速、彼らは魔界のフレビアック一族のVincatorとVaporizerと出くわす。彼らはヒーローの残党狩りをしていたのだ。 Al:SpawnとWILD CATSの活躍で二体の魔物は退治された。その時、年老いたSantniを始めとした未来のWILD CATSのメンバーが現れた。彼らはAl:SpawnとWILD CATSをビルの地下室へと連れていく。そこで2015年のWILD CATSのメンバーと対面した。 彼らは年老いていたが、この魔物が占領した世界で生き延びていたのだ。しかしそこにも魔物が現れる。闘いが始まるなか、Voidの力によってAl:SpawnとWILD CATS達はテレポートされた。そこはメモリアルルーム。力尽きたWILD CATSのメンバーの石像が立てられていた。 彼らが地上に出てくると、年老いたSantiniがあるビルへと彼らを導いた。そのビルにはSPAWNの紋章が燦然と輝いており、まさしく絶望の象徴であった。

Al:SpawnとWILD CATSのメンバーはSPAWNの紋章が燦然と輝いているビルのなかに侵入する。するとそこはトロフィー・ルームであり、魔王の首が飾ってあった。そしてその奥の部屋には二人の人物がいた。年老いた未来のGrifterの話では彼らはSPAWNの元に寝返ったスーパーヒーローだという。 彼らはAl:SpawnとWILD CATSのメンバーの前に立ちはだかるが、Al:SPAWN達はそれを撃退し、先に進む。その後もフレビアック一族のViolatorとVandalizerが現れるが、Al:Spawn達の敵ではなかった。Al:Spawn達は先へと進み、ついに巨大な姿をしたSPAWNに遭遇する。

Returned to his timeline, Spawn is at a fated crossroads- does he continue his suffering a slave to Hell or does he take means to free himself at a cost of destroying the world?

顔に若干の老いが見られるが、未来のSPAWNは絶対的な魔王を化していた。WILD CATSのメンバーの中でも巨漢を誇るMaulでさえ太刀打ちができなかった。しかも未来のMaulは鎖に繋がれ、SPAWNのペットとなっていた。SPAWNが手にしていた鎖を離すと未来のMaulはAl:Spawn達に襲いかかってきた。 未来のGrifterは決意をする。Maulにとって真の自由を取り戻すにはこれしかないのだ．未来のGrifterが放った銃弾は未来のMaulの眉間を貫き、命を奪ったのだ。SPAWNは怒りを露わにし、未来のGrifterへと攻撃を仕掛けるが、その攻撃を未来のHadrianが身を呈して防ぐ。 未来のMaulに続き、未来のHadrianも命を落とした。Al:Spawnは未来の自分であろう敵へと攻撃を仕掛ける。SPAWNの反撃によってAl:Spawnは吹き飛ばされてしまうが、その際に敵の胸に掲げられていたAmuletを奪っていた。
WILD CATSのメンバーたちがSPAWNに攻撃を仕掛けるなか、New-ZealotはAl:Spawnを闘いの輪の中から連れ出した。そして未来のZealotであるTapestryによって、1996年へと送り返される。
1996年に戻ったAl:Spawnはもう訳が分からなくなっていた。何故、未来では自分が魔王のようになっているのか。苛立つ彼はつい、New-Zealotへと手を挙げてしまい、その際にNew-Zealotの顔を覆っていたマスクが外れる。するとそこには信じられない姿があった。New-Zealotはワンダの愛娘であるサイアンだったのだ。 サイアンはAl:Spawnが自分の名を知っていることが不思議だった。母の教えに従い、名を伏せてきたのだ。その母は既に自分で命を絶っていた。Al:Spawnは堪らずサイアンを抱きしめる。そして彼はサイアンに言われた通り、Amuletを手渡した。
Al:SpawnがサイアンにAmuletを手渡すと、未来ではSPAWNに異変が訪れていた。手先から姿が消えようとし始めたのだ。また未来のWILD CATSのメンバーも姿を消し始めた。Amuletがもたらした狂った未来が変わろうとしていたのだ・・・
