The space pirate NEBULA – granddaughter of Thanos and rival of Gamora, former Guardians of the Galaxy – is building an armada of the dead. Stealing a leaf from Gamora’s newly villainous playbook [see the events of INFINITY WARS], Nebula kidnapped a dwarf and forced him to lead her to an ancient horn that can call forth the NAGLFAR, an amada manned by soulless corpses of gods who have been reborn in new bodies. With it, she will bring about RAGNAROK, and so claim Gamora’s title of the Deadliest Woman in Galaxy.
Thor’s sister Angela has gathered a team to retake the horn and stop Nebula – or so it seems. For the true mastermind behind the ASGARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is another wayward god… one whose schemes may prove even deadlier than their enemy’s.
KID LOKI is back. And he wants the Naglfar Armada for himself.

Netredeenにて
netrediという部族には、興味深い黙示録の神話がある。彼らの宗教的な教えでは、彼らの崇拝者に犠牲を捧げるのは神々であると彼らに告げている。Nebulaが言う。「一万年に一度、Netrediの部族の神々は彼らを愛する人々に敬意を表して互いに殺し合う。天から血が降り注ぎ、Netredi達は衣服を脱ぎ捨て、土砂降りの中で裸で踊る。」血の雨を除けば、Netredi達がPantheonの存在を示す証拠を目にすることはめったにない。神々は大きな犠牲を払ってその存在を証明し、信奉者の新たな信仰が神々を再び誕生させる。
Nebulaは惑星Netredeenを見据えていた。ニダヴェリアの長はNebulaの思惑を察して、それを制するが、Nebulaは相手にしない。
Netrediの死と再生の、終わりなき循環のため、Netrediは神々との間に常に新しい絆を結んでいた。神々はNetrediを子供のように見ていた。
Nebulaには惑星Netredeenの軌道上からも彼らの悲鳴が聞こえるようだった。ニダヴェリアの長はNebulaがしようとしていることは冒涜だという。だが、Nebulaは私が結審すると言う。惑星Netredeenに角笛の音色が響く。
宇宙船に乗っていたKid LokiにもNebulaが角笛の音色が聞こえた。AngelaはKid Lokiに何故、角笛のような兵器を作ったのかを問う。そんなものを作ったのにそれを放棄すれば、Nebulaのような者が手に入れようとする。Kid Lokiは言う。「自分はLokiの影、策略、虚構。自分の本来の姿…大人の姿であるLokiは現実の本質やそのような愚かさを明らかにしようとしている。角笛は大人の姿のLokiの指示の下に鋳造された。過去と未来と両方で。もちろん、私は自分のやり方で秘密裏に働いていた。魔法を使って、私が何をしようとしているのか、誰にも知られないように、時間を前後に移動した。デバイスが完成すると、私はそれを過去に投げ込みました。そこでは、時が来るまで見つけることができなかった。もちろん、デバイスの噂が浸透することは分かっていた。必要なときに元に戻す手がかりがあることも分かっていた。恐ろしいものを永遠に隠しておくことはできない。」
Angelaは誰かが角笛を見つけるとは思わなかったの?と聞く。Kid Lokiは答える。「それが今さ、妹殿。角笛はアルマゲドンを呼ぶ。どうしてこんな酷い装置を誰が見つけようとするんだ？」Angelaは首を傾げる。「まぁ、僕がアルマゲドンの上にボールを落とした。しかし今、僕たちの前には素晴らしい冒険が待っている。僕の助けを借りて、あなたはAsgardiansのグループを集めて、私たちが遺物を回収するのを手伝ってくれる。僕らは急いでそれを成し遂げないと。Asgardの注意を惹くことなく、もしくはAsgardの敵たちに対しても。僕たちは角笛の目印が必要だし、角笛が呼び起こす恐怖も必要と言うことさ。」
Annabelleは宇宙船から、地球にいる友人Renと通信をしていた。突然、姿を消したAnnabelleを心配していたRenにはAsgardiansとかAmazonsとか関係なかった。何より、彼女が無事に戻ってくることを祈っていた。
惑星Netredeenに到着したAngela達。そこにはNetediたちの死体が累々と横たわっていた。遅かった。Nebulaはすでに到着した後だった。彼女はNaglfar Armadaの力を解き放った。救いのない部族の頭上に。角笛は既にない。Annabelleがこの光景に反応する。彼女が持つValkyrieの力は死者を最後の安息の地に運び、死のベールが他人の上に迫っているのを見ることが出来る。Netrediの最後の生き残りも息を引き取る。彼の最後の言葉は聞き取れなかった。警告か、悪夢か。だが、生き残っていたのはその一人だけではなかった。沢山のクリーチャーが身を隠していたのだ。それはNebulaが残していった者たちか。Angela達は彼らと戦うしかなかった。
Chandilarにて
GladiatorがNebulaを出迎えていた。ここがNebulaの次の標的か? GladiatorたちがNebulaに攻撃を始めると、Naglfar Armadaから飛来する者があった。それは生ける屍の神の姿だった。

THE DESTROYER | The Destroyer is a mystical suit of armor built to contain enough energy to fight off a Celestial.
