AngelaがKnowhereに降り立つ。AngelaはGamoraを追っていた。酒場にいたDraxに居場所を問い詰めるが、DraxはAngelaに戦いを挑む。それをGamoraが制した。更にRocket RaccoonもAngelaに発砲する。爆風の中、Angelaが彼らを捜すが、彼らは既に姿を消していた。アジトに辿り着いたGamora達。だが、そこにYotatが現れて彼らを襲う。

Battle worldを周回する宇宙ステーション「KNOWHERE」囚人や犯罪者がひしめき合うこのコロニーでは「平和」を維持するために戦う守護者「Guardians」が活躍している。
元々は神皇帝ドゥームによって戦いで殺されたセレスティアルの頭部を元に築かれた宇宙ステーションであり、そこには脆弱な社会集団が形成されていた。そして新たな力が台頭するなかで「Knowhere」を守る守護者たちは市民を救うために立ち上がる。そのなかで ガモーラを連れ出した謎の女とは誰なのか？　「Knowhere」の混乱から利益を得る立場にあるのは誰なのか? 「Knowhere」の秘密が明らかになったとき、守護者たちの新たな歴史が始まる。
