Previously…
Malekith and his powerful allies from the other Nine Realms have conquered what had been the last realm standing: Earth.

But Midgard’s heroes are determined to take it back.

In his new role as the God Without Fear. Daredevil uesd the Rainbow Bridge to send Captain America and other heroes to rescue Thor from jotunheim while Lady Freyja attempted to destroy Malekith’s Black Bifrost in Svartalfheim. Captain America’s team was successful, but Lady Freyja —- joined at the last moment by All-Father Odin — seemingly perished in the explosion that took out the Black Bridge.

Now Thor is back — and eager for revenge. At his side are Earth’s heroes and new allies reeruited from the various conquered realms. But their enemy is more powerful than ever. thanks to Malekith’s newest weapon: Venom.

２０１９年夏のMarvel Comicsは”Infinity war”祭りでした。2018年に映画「Avengers:Infinity war」が公開され、2019年のこのイベントでは”The War of the Realms”が全6巻出版されました。『The War of the Realms 』は、2019年にマーベル・コミックから出版されたコミック作品で、ジェイソン・アーロンが執筆し、ラッセル・ドーターマンが作画を担当しています。
”The War of the Realms”は「呪われたマレキスが軍を率いて、征服しなければならない最後の領域であるミッドガルドに侵攻したとき、英雄たちが団結する様子」を詳細に描いています。
Realmとは「領域、王国」という意味。そしてMarvel ComicsにおいてはMidgardとは地球を意味します。それでMarvel Comicsのキャラクターたちが地球を救うために戦うわけです。AsgardではOdinがマレキスの標的となり、戦火が地球にまで及ぶなか、Angelaも戦いに身を投じるわけですが、１巻では2つの表紙に登場しただけで、内容に一切、登場していません。
このお祭りに向けて”Asgardians of the Galaxy #6-7″は”Road to the war of the Realms“という位置づけに、”Asgardians of the Galaxy #8-10″は”Tie-ins“という位置づけになっています。
Angelaの登場は同時に連載されていた”Asgardians of the Galaxy”に限定されていたわけです。
そもそも、『インフィニティ・ウォー』 (The Infinity War) とは、マーベル・コミックスが1992年に刊行したコミックブックのリミテッド・シリーズ。本作を中心とする同名のクロスオーバーイベントが行われました。本作は1991年のクロスオーバー作品『インフィニティ・ガントレット』の直接的な続編であり、翌年にはさらなる続編『インフィニティ・クルセイド』が刊行されました。なお、2018年の映画『アベンジャーズ/インフィニティ・ウォー』は前作である『インフィニティ・ガントレット』が元になっており、本作ストーリーとの直接の関係性はありません。さらに『アベンジャーズ/エンドゲーム』になると完全に映画独自のストーリーになるわけです。
話を戻すと、”The War of the Realms”には派生したコミックスが多数あります。但し、ここのサイトでは「Angelaが登場したコミックス」に限定して紹介していますので、それらの派生コミックスの紹介は割愛します。

使用したフォント
“The War of the Realms”のタイトルのフォントは完全にデザインさたものですので、既存のフォントはありません。そこで２ページ目に使用されているフォントを探しました。ですが、これもデザイン・フォント。ですのでAnironというフォントを使用しました。
